Buyer-side and seller-side land diligence from initial data-room review through final deliverables. Land work does not always end at closing. Ray Brownlee has spent twenty years working across acquisition and divestiture diligence, complex title and ownership, leasehold, and land operations. His work ranges from leading multi-landman diligence teams on major transactions to serving as the land function during ownership and staffing transitions.
That combination of transaction experience and hands-on land operations provides perspective on both sides of a deal — how an asset looks during diligence, and what it takes to integrate, manage, and operate the land function after closing.
Earlier in his career, Ray spent approximately five years embedded on-site at Denbury Resources’ corporate headquarters as a contract landman supporting Business Development, working alongside land, engineering, accounting, division orders, and management on acquisitions, divestitures, reserves, and asset strategy.
Today, Brownlee works across the full range of land assignments, with a particular focus on A&D due diligence and the title, ownership, and operational issues that drive transactions.
